Why practice Time Clauses exercises?
These exercises take you from basic future time clauses to advanced mixed-tense practice in four progressive sets. Start at A2 by learning the key rule: use present simple (not will) after when, before, after, until and as soon as. At B1, extend to by the time, once and present perfect in time clauses, plus the tricky difference between time clauses and noun clauses with when. Then practise past time clauses with past simple, past continuous and past perfect. The final B2 set mixes all tenses and adds advanced patterns like hardly … when and no sooner … than.
